We offer guided Adirondack Whitetail deer hunts in New York! The northern Adirondacks offer the most challenging Whitetail deer hunt in the country! This is the true home of the “100 inch Booner”! The combination of the terrain and the woodlands force you to get within 50 yards or less before you have a shot. Anyone that has hunted whitetails before will tell you,”That ain’t easy!” Harvesting a whitetail deer, on foot, from the ground, up close and in a heavily wooded area is one of the great challenges and accomplishments any deer hunter can have! 100% fair chase!
We ‘still hunt’ or as I like to call it “Stalk and Spot” as opposed to the western technique of “Spot and Stalk”. We use terrain features such as slides, ridges, brooks and gullies as cover, as we stalk slowly and quietly into the wind. Your guide will position you so you will be hunting off of your guide at times, as a tactic to compliment your still hunting strategy.
If you think you still have a little hunt left in you… this is the hunt for you! (not for the feint of heart or unconditioned hunter-call me and we can talk more about whether its the right hunt for you or not.)
We do have very limited opportunities to hunt from a simple (climber/ladder) stand please call for details and pricing.

THOUGH WE DON’T RECOMMEND IT, YOU SHOULD KNOW THAT THERE ARE SO FEW HUNTERS UP HERE THAT THIS IS THE ONLY PLACE IN THE COUNTRY, THAT I KNOW OF, THAT YOU ARE NOT REQUIRED BY LAW TO WEAR FLUORESCENT ORANGE IN REGULAR RIFLE SEASON!! THAT’S HOW TOUGH THE TERRAIN AND HUNTING CAN BE! THE DEER DIE OF OLD AGE UP HERE…THOUGH WE DO OUR BEST TO NOT LET THAT HAPPEN!;)
‘Adirondack Deer Camp’ Hunting Rates
Regular Rifle Season: October 25-December 7
Archery Season: September 27-October 24
$350.00 per day (3 day minimum) $100 per day for additional hunter up to maximum of 2 hunters, plus lodging (see lodging partners for rates)
A deposit of $100.00 per person/per guided day is required to secure your preferred dates.

Things to bring:
- Florescent Orange Hat and/or Jacket
- Firearm and Ammunition/Bow: Appropriate caliber rifle or shotgun. note: Scopes can be limiting due to the close proximity that shot opportunities occur in the mountainous woodlands.
- Hunting clothes appropriate for weather.
- Cooler for game transport
- Drag Line/Game Sled/Game Cart-(plenty of assistance will be provided in getting your deer off of the mountain and out of the woods)
- New York State Resident or Non Resident Licenses and Tags
- NEW YORK STATE HUNTING LICENSES
